These are distressing and difficult times, and the idea of rest and retreat can seem so far away, even unattainable for many of us. That’s why I wanted to create a book of my own poems with reflective pauses interspersed throughout, all of which focus on rest and taking the time to care for ourselves, even while in sorrow, to breathe and recover.
